This article aims to discuss the popularity of Tarot card reading and how this has changed over the past centuries in the West and just how Tarot continues to maintain its attraction in todays modern world. Humankind has always possessed the wish to be able to make sense of the world surrounding them. Tarot cards became one method of using imagery to convey meaning to everyday occurrences. Tarot cards became subject to the religious vagaries of each century and have waxed and waned in their social acceptability . I believe that diversity in the use of Tarot cards that has developed across the ages has enabled Tarot reading to evolve and allowed them to become popular again. Tarot has been utilised as works of art, portable items, as a card game (similar to that of modern point-scoring bridge), a divination tool and a instrument for self development which works by focussing ones attention fully on the question in the readers mind.

Tarot cards were introduced into Europe in the Middle Ages from the 14th Century onwards. When the Tarot was first introduced into Italy they were employed as an elementary point scoring game called Tarocco, which was similar to modern bridge..Tarot cards were incredibly popular within the Italian nobility. The use of Tarot for card games progressed eventually into that of divination with card readings.

The symbols used in the decoration of Tarot cards allowed individuals to subjectively interpret them and to create meanings for what they saw. The price of a Tarot deck would have been costly for an individual. People who travelled along the trade routes may have used Tarot cards in order to provide entertainment or readings in exchange for money or goods. The cost of the deck would have been justified by it being a tool in order to provide a modest income. As much of the population were illiterate in the Middle Ages then by giving cards meanings this would have allowed them to be able to interpret concepts for themselves. The skill of reading Tarot cards was passed from generation to generation by word of mouth and folklore until education had developed and was widely available to all the social strata, which in England was the 1800s. The images would have been printed on blank cards which were then coloured in or painted to enhance the decoration.
The changing religious atmosphere in Europe began to affect the acceptance of Tarot cards in society.

The Italian Renaissance ran from the 14th Century to the 17th Century AD. In Italy the Renaissance was a cultural movement which encouraged thinkers and artists to investigate the classical works of ancient civilisations, such as the Greeks and Romans. It began in Florence and expanded throughout Europe launching the careers of several famous artists, such as Da Vinci and Brueghel. Throughout this time Tarot decks such as the Visconti-Sforza , the Bembo cards and Boiardo cards were created. The artwork is beautiful, and when one takes into consideration the effort and time spent creating these decks they must have been amongst their owners most treasured possessions.
Although much later than the Renaissance in 1765 the Italian, Casanova, had a slave/mistress by the name of Zaire who angered him so much with her fortune-telling Tarot cards that he threw them into the fire( Karlin, 2000). This gives some credence to the fact that illiterate people were able to use Tarot cards as they could give meaning to the pictures on the cards and were able to pass this skill on through folklore.

The Spanish Inquisition arose from an order passed by the Pope. In 1484 the Pope decreed in a Papal Bull that the ruler of a country had an obligation to protect their subjects’ religion and the purity of their souls from being sullied by alternative religions or practices which the Church thought may harm their flock. This was actively pursued by the Spanish Inquisitor General, put into office by the Spanish King, who utilised torture on suspects as an everyday method of extracting confessions to sinful behaviour, whether the suspect had sinned or not. If the victim converted to Catholicism they were treated more leniently and strangled before being burned at the stake. Those who did not falter in their chosen faith were burnt alive. In 1554 Martin de Azpilcueta noted that ‘He commits a mortal sin who asks..’ about their future by ‘lots, dice, cards, books..’ thus placing those people who were advocates of Tarot cards in mortal jeopardy.

In other European countrys such as Italy, the inquisition also occurred, where in at least one instance a ‘witch’ was accused of having lights burning ‘in front of a devil and the tarots’(Karlin,2000). As the Visconti-Sforza Tarot deck has two cards missing from its original deck it is quite possible that they had been deliberately ‘lost’ in order to deflect unwanted attention from the Inquisition.
This was a dangerous time to be involved in anything that could be misunderstood as a method of divination, so one may sumise that Tarot decks would have been physically hidden or secreted from people. Perhaps that is why the practice of many Tarot card readers of keeping their cards in bags or boxes high on a shelf arose? However risky it was, there must have been some degree of interest in Tarot for the decks to have survived those difficult times into the modern day.

When James I came into power, he had Parliament pass laws such as the Witchcraft Statute of 1604 which made harming someone by the use of witchcraft an offence with a mandatory punishment of death( BBC,http://www.bbc.co.uk/legacies/myths_legends/england/essex/ ). This action mirrored what was happening on the continent Jacob Sprenger wrote a book called the ‘Hammer of the Witches’ in the late 1400s after the Papal Bull. In this tome Sprenger states that most women are in league with the Devil and that only a few good women existed. In his opinion (and in the opinion of many men at that time) this was said to be proven by women having the power to provoke a sexual effect on the mans anatomy! However, the power said to be demonstrated by the women was usually inverse to the power that they actually had ( Eva Figes, 1970). It may be that the Papal Bull and books written by people like Sprenger helped and were intended to keep women out of positions of power or influence. They were used by men and religious leaders as a way of being paternalistic towards women, who they kept referring to in biblical terms as having ’sprung from Adams rib’.The first attempt at producing a wife, Lilith, had been made of dust, who proved to be too wilful for Adam eventually being discarded in favour of Eve.

In England a self-imposed Witchfinder General, Matthew Hopkins, travelled the length and breadth of the country with his assistant Stearne leaving swathes of deceased ‘witches’ in his wake. These were usually women who lived alone, possibly with a little land or possessions, who had been suspected of wrongdoing by people who disliked them or had taken a liking to their possessions. After accusations followed by dreadfully successful torture (bodily marks tested with needles, sleep deprivation, ’swimming’- where a defendant who floated was a witch and if was drowned was innocent) confessions were extracted and punishment applied, which was usually hanging.
All this witchfinding had a price.. £1000 in total for witch finding work was the recompense made to Matthew Hopkins in a time when the average wage was merely sixpence a day!( BBC,http://www.bbc.co.uk/legacies/myths_legends/england/essex/ )

Occult means hidden. In France in the 18th Century a clergyman Court de Gebelin researched the history of Tarot cards and made a connection between Egypt, the Book of the Dead and the Egyptian god Thoth which he wrote about in a book called ‘Le Monde Primitif’ in1781. This book first made the connection between the Tarot and the Occult .
Later, at the end of the 18th Century conditions were bad for poor French people and the atmosphere became ripe for unre
st precipitating the French Revolution. The profiles of the Kings and Queenson the cards would have been unpopular with the masses, especially as Marie Antoinette and many gentile French aristocracy passed their time by gambling and playing with cards (though it is not stated whether any were Tarot cards). During the French Revolution a barber named Alliette reversed his name, and as Le Grand Etteliia designed an esoteric Tarot deck with astrological links. On Tarot cards the court card pictures were replaced with other pictures more in keeping with the Revolutions philosophy - Liberties! Equalities! Fraternities!- were installed as replacements until Napoleon reversed the trend in 1805. Napoleons’ Josephine de Beauharnais was influenced by Marie-Anne Le Normand and this made Tarot cards and cartomancy popular until Napoleons fall from grace. Currently, there are Tarot decks decorated in the Revolutions’ colours of red, blue and white that can be purchased in specialist shops or online.

The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn was formed in the 1880s in England and this group embraced thenotion that the Tarot deck was useful for Occult means. Aleister Crowley, who revelled in his notoriety, encouraged ideas about the Occult and Devil worship which tainted the Tarot deck for the general public who were scandalised by his behaviour, or at least tainted by association.

In the Victorian era people were more involved and interested in science and approached things with an open mind and were forever discovering things. Explorers were discovering new things and the British Empire wasexpanding and experiencing allsorts of new phenomena and cultures. In Great Britain many were experimenting with the notion of being able to communicate with the deceased- particularly when Queen Victorias’ beloved Prince Albert died of typhoid. This contributed to a flurry of mediums and seances occuring. The Victorian age ushered in an open-minded attitude to alternative thinking and Tarot cards were amongst the things that were becoming more acceptable. The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn was created in the 1880s. Members were challenged to create their own interpretation of a design for the Major Arcana cards of the Tarot Deck. This proved to be the source of inspiration for the popular Rider-Waite Tarot deck. Members of this Order included the poet WB Yeats and Aleister Crowley.

Arthur Conan Doyle was a believerof the paranormal and in the early 20th Century became aware of the existence of photographs depicting two girls playing with fairies at the bottom of a garden. He was assured that the photographs had not been tampered with and believed them to be genuine, which conferred a degree of credibility to the pictures. However, much later on when the girls had grown up and were old women they admitted that the fairies were in fact cardboard cutouts arranged and photographed to create a normalistic scene.

Gerald Brosseau Gardner wrote a book called the ‘Book of Shadows’ which promoted interest in the Pagan witchcraft tradition of Wicca. The main festivals of Wicca are Sabbats. Some elements of Wicca resemble symbols or metaphors found in Tarot cards- the circle, within which rites take place, andfour elements are used to bless this circle and are the same elements as those represented by individual Tarot suits-fire,water, air and earth.
Laterin the 20th Century, a movement was formed called the New Age which was influenced by western social and spiritual aspects. This movement took influences from music, metaphysics, collectivism, alternative medicine, nature, occultism, esotericism and astrology and promoted the use of Tarot cards for self development as well as divination. The comparatively young science of psychology had experts such as Carl Jung, finding ways to explain how Tarot cards could work with synchronicity theory and belief in archetypal characters lending themselves to this explanation.

I believe that Tarot decks and Tarot card reading have survived down the centuries by being passed on from generation to generation by folklore, with written books instructing us how to Tarot read being a relatively new method of tuition. I feel that the passing down of information by word of mouth helped the cards maintain their existance during difficult times and along with their diversity the New Age movement has brought Tarot cards into the public eye again.

Individuals who claim to be psychics say that they can read minds or view someone else’s potential future. Whenever psychics carry out any of these things, they are carrying out psychic reading. By using psychic reading, a person attempts to interpret exactly what is inside the mind of an individual or foretell his / her future.

Different kinds of solutions, and systems are actually used for psychic reading by those asserting to possess psychic abilities. Such psychics can even be specialists of two or more types or strategies psychic reading.

Together with the advancement of present day communication technology, psychic readings can be carried out via the internet, phone, or even mail. Sometimes, remote viewing, or reading through a webcam, can be used.

A handful of the diverse types of psychic reading include:

1) Distant reading - This type of reading is done without the particular clairvoyant meeting or speaking to the person. The person asks questions related to her or his life or future, and a psychic will use his/her intuitive senses to obtain replies to the questions. This type of reading metes out the potential of the psychic simply receiving his/her cues from visual observations.

2) Tarot readings - This is probably the most well-known form of psychic readings. The particular clairvoyant makes use of a special seventy-eight-card deck described as tarots. The particular drawings, symbols, and also the layout of the tarots interpret the individual’s relationship, love, careers, future, as well as other factors in life. Tarot card reading is also used for spiritual, esoteric, psychological, occult, and divinatory purposes. This type of reading has numerous variations, plus the meanings of each tarot card is open to numerous interpretations by various readers.

3) Psychometry reading - This is a type of post-cognition. This process makes it possible for the psychic to receive information about individuals, activities, items, besides other things which are connected with events that have taken place previously or occurring presently by being nearby the position or matter where the happening occurred or is occurring. This process is presumably used by a handful of unique psychics to try and pinpoint missing individuals or even in solving a criminal offense.

4) Numerology - This is a reading based upon occult meanings of numbers and their impact in a individual’s life. This is done by reading an individual’s mind and future utilising numerical values for instance birth date, age, the particular letters in his or her name, and the like.

5) Aura reading - This type of reading is about interpreting the auras around the human body. The so-called aura projects a set of cascading colored outlines that expand from the surface area of the entire body. Every single aura is different from one person to another. Aura readers claim that they can view or sense this aura, that’s ordinarily invisible to other individuals.

In the United States, there are millions of Americans who are proud of their faith. There are many that go to church every Sunday, some even more often than that. There are others who used to go to chuch, but stopped for one reason or another. If you are one of those individuals and if you would like to re-involve yourself in Christianity, you may be unsure as to how you should proceed. If that is how you feel, read on.

Step one in choosing a new church is examining which denomination sounds like it is best for you. Even if you have never set foot inside a church, there is a good chance that you already accepted that fact that there is a God. Most people do pick up their faith from their parents and their upbringing. Of course, it is more than possible for you to change your denomination at any point in time; however, you may want to consider first examining the denomination that has a long history in your family. Keep in mind that you can always look elswhere if you find this is not the right one for you.

One of the many reasons why many individuals have a difficult time choosing a new church to attend is because they vary greatly. For starters, it is important to focus on which church is right for you. Some are more passionate and evengelical and they proudly wear Christian t-shirts on top of that Christian clothing. No matter where you reside in the United States, you should have access to a number of different churches and religions, such as catholic churches, Mormon churches, Lutheran churches, and so forth. Many individuals have used those that they know, as well as the internet to research popular religions in the United States. If you are not sure which denomination is best for you, then this may be the best approach for you.

Once you have an idea as to which type of Christian church you would like to join, namely one that you support and believe in all readings and teachings, you may want to find a church to attend. This is where many new churchgoers often run into trouble. As previously stated, churches vary accordingly. The biggest mistake that you can make is assuming that all Lutheran churches operate in the same matter and so forth. They do not. That is why it is important to be a guest at different services to find the right one for you. What a great opportunity this is for meeting the congregation, observing a sermon, and listening to the music.

If you are interested in attending church solo, it may be a little bit easier for you to find a church of your liking. With that in mind, if you are looking to attend church with your family, there are a number other factors that you will want to take into consideration. One thing to be aware of is if the church has Sunday school for your kids. If your children are tollers or are preschool age, you may want to find out if the new church offers a preschool program.

Once you find the church that sounds right for you, it is time to schudle a meeting with the head pastor or other church officials. This is ideal, as many churches have specific requirements of their members. Some of these requirements can include an amount of activity and participation in the church. It is important that you take the time to learn more about what will be expected of you as a church member, before taking steps to become an “official,” member.

By following the guidelines mentioned above, it should be fairly easy for you to find a new church home. As a reminder, asking those that you know for input is ideal. It might be nice to get an introduction as a guest at their church.

This lens introduces a few factual pieces of information about Tarot cards which you may or may not already know. It was triggered by reading about the topic of Tarot cards and Tarot card readIngs when I found I was picking up all these little packages of Tarot facts up and remembering them!
I first found the odd fact out about Tarot cards while I was reading around the subject. I tend to recall small but otherwise useless bits of data ( such as don’t eat a Polar bears’ liver as you would drop dead of VitAmin A poisoning!) .

Thus, the impetus for an article about Tarot trivia arose…

Tarot Trivia 1- King Lear by William Shakespeare has a couple of mentions of Tarot related items,’ The Wheel has come full circle.’ in a reference to the Wheel of Fortune.

Tarot Trivia 2- Salvador Dali adorned his own deck of Tarot cards.

Tarot Trivia 3 - Social strata were reflected in the suits of the Minor Arcana- Pentacles represented Merchants, Cups represented the Clergy, Swords represented the Nobility and Wands represented the Peasants!

Tarot Trivia 4 - The suits in an ordinary deck of cards can represent one in the Tarot deck - Pentacles=Diamonds
Cups = Hearts
Swords = Spades
Wands= Clubs.

Tarot Trivia 5- Some famous racehorses have had names which have been connected to the Tarot:
1835 Queen of Trumps ridden by T Lye won the St. Leger
1854 The Hermit ridden by A Day won the 2000 Guineas
1879 Wheel of Fortune ridden by F Archer won the Oaks
1942 Sun Chariot ridden by Flat jockey Champion Gordon Richards won the Oaks and the 1000 Guineas.

Tarot Trivia 6- The points of the compass which relate to the Tarot suits are Pentacles South, Cups West,Swords North and Wands East.

Tarot Trivia 7-Pentacles were originally Coins.

Tarot Trivia 8-Wands were originally Batons or Staves.

Tarot Trivia 9-Arcana comes from the Latin ‘arcere’ and means secret.

Tarot Trivia 10-The popular Rider-Waite Tarot deck originated from all the members of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn having to design their own version of the Major Arcana, which Arthur Edward Waite did, resulting in the Rider-Waite deck

Tarot Trivia 11- Jung believed that the Major Arcana were representations of archetypes of people.

Tarot Trivia 12- Symbols in the Tarot deck had different meanings. The circle was linked with infinity, the square with dependibility and safety, and the triangle with the number three and trinity.

Tarot Trivia 13- The Visconti-Sforza Tarot deck from approximately 1450 in Italy has 2 Major Arcana cards ( The Devil and The Tower ) absent. No-one knows if this was deliberate in a time of persecution or downright negligence!

Tarot Trivia 14-Winston Churchill in the Second World War had his own astrologer and occult advisor to try and second-guess what information Hitlers’ astrologer and advisors were giving him!

Tarot Trivia 15- The poet WB Yeats wrote poetry influenced by his passion for spirituality and his love of the occult arts and Tarot cards when he began an Hermetic Order of his own in Ireland!

Tarot Trivia 16- Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes were extremely influenced by spirituality and the esoteric, which resulted in Sylvia plath writing Ariel.

Well, I hope that you enjoyed these few minuscule bits of trivia about Tarot cards.!

In one type or another, all religions and philosophies have taught about the final destiny of man, society, and the cosmos as they are doing about the first things or origins. Many are bibical. The one receiving attention recently is the Mayan Long Count Calendar. It calculates the date of creation as Aug 11,3114 B.C. The calendar is 5,125 years old ending on December 21,2012.

This date has caused assorted folk to conclude that the year 2012 is the end of the planet in prediction. Presumably the Mayas received their astronomical calculations from “Kulcan”. Kulcan was described as a white man with a beard from beyond the ocean. Some people assume the Maya were predicting the end of a cycle and the start of a new cycle.

The Hopi, a native american tribe that lives in Arizona believe that the world has finished countless times. They believe we are approaching the newest “End” and “Beginning” which is to come.

Here are the 2012 prophecies : a collision with the earth from a huge object from space. It could be Nibiru or Planet X. If Nibiru moves through our solar system the gravitational pull might cause the polar ice caps to slip seriously. This event would cause large changes on the earth. Where there had been water, the surface could end up dry and other areas of land could be flooded. Many scholars think the shifting of the polar ice cap would be slow, taking a substantial period of time.

The reversal of the north and south poles are said to lead to earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanoes. The north and south poles can’t change position only the magnetic poles which usually take millenia.

A Gamma-ray burst from a distant supernova that would destroy the planet.

An international nuclear war destroying the earth.

Massive extinctions due to natural phenomenon.

A flare-up of the sun causing catastrophes, planetary harm, weakened magnetic poles and an excess of radiation.

The cosmic alignment of the Milky Way universe with the sun and earth causing an unknown event to occur.

These are merely a sample of 2012 prophecies that are out there.

Since then there have been different predictions about the end of the planet. A lot of them try to be specific and they finish up being disapproved by the virtue of the Earth continuing to be there. Others havent been proved already one way or the other, as a consequence of their dates havent reached yet. 2012 predictions are among the latter group.

In the non-internet world there’s some talk about the 2012 predictions. Online however is where the discussion has its most supporters. Each Internet forum appears to have 1 thread about 2012 drawing in numerous posters and contributors who are attracted to such ideas and ideas. In addition there are an increasing number of sites devoted to the topic.

The Mayan 2012 predictions provide no details as to the way in which the world will end. Simply put , December 21, 2012 is the date that Mayan calendar ends so many Mayan-prophecy adherents take that as a hint that the world will end on that date.

The particular details of the Earth’s end change dependent on who is taking a look at the data. Some assume the end will be created by a natural disaster, others think it may be less literal and more the end of the world as we all know it versus the absolute end of the Earth. Some prediction followers feel the change will come about with the predicted alignment of the galaxy, an once in a 28,600 year occurence, on December 12th, 2012.

It doesn’t specific mention that skeptic folk are abundant in number. Although a lot of Mayan predictions have turned out to be true, some skeptic folk have cited many logical inconsistencies as far as 2012 prediction is concerned . Their debates include an easy thing like that Mayan scholars could have not found enough time to bring out a new calendar scheduled to expire of Mayan culture. Another argument is that the set periods of Mayan calendar covered a period more than a modern year of twelve months and it’d have 2012 as the year. Their opinion is that ending of Mayan calendar in 2012 is of no importance.

As with many predictions, there are disagreements for and against each aspect. The only real way to be sure of the end result, unfortunately , is to wait it out until 2012.

We can only hope that 2012 will pass without any incident. However , due to the fact that there are several catastrophies predicted, you need to find out how to prepare yourself for year 2012. To be told how to survive 2012 visit Year 2012.

A lot of people don’t believe that it’s possible to communicate telepathically. Despite the widespread skepticism about telepathy, the idea of being able to communicate mind-to-mind as well as the concept of mind control are things which have long had a grip over the human imagination. For centuries, people have experimented with telepathy and written about the topic extensively.

Using telepathy or telepathic communication is something that we do on occasion. Have you ever been picking up the phone to call someone just to say hi, and right then they called? You just knew they were thinking about you. Have you ever just known what someone was going to say? Some of these incidences are coincidence, but nearly everybody has had an experience where they knew something they shouldn’t have. It was as if they had read somebody’s mind.

As far-fetched as it may sound at first, it is possible to communicate telepathically at will. All of us have this ability naturally, though it usually atrophies through disuse as we age.

In order to regain that ability you have to put a lot of time and focus into it. You will also probably need a guide, although this can be self-taught.

Learning to communicate telepathically takes a lot of practice and the ability to focus your mind. When you have someone else to practice your skills with, it’s far easier to develop this skill - it can be hard to gauge your progress if you’re doing it alone.

Best of all is to practice with someone you know very well who is interested in learning to use their own telepathy. When you work with someone who is not trying to learn themselves, it can do more harm than good. A person you’re already close to and have experience communicating with makes learning to “talk” telepathically all that much easier to do.

Start with simple thoughts like colors and shapes, with one of you sending and the other receiving. Make sure to write down what you’re trying to send and what you receive so you can compare notes afterwards.

It’s not certain at how long of a distance people can communicate telepathically with each other. People who have learned to control their telepathic abilities may be able to send thoughts back and forth over hundreds, even thousands of miles.

You’ll need to be patient as you practice communicating telepathically. This is something which takes time and there’s more to it than simply bringing your latent abilities to the surface - you also have to learn how to control it, so regular practice and a lot of time and patience are necessary.

In a way, it’s like learning a second language. At first, it seems as if you’ll never master it and it’s easy to become frustrated but with time and dedication, it eventually becomes a natural means of expression as you gain fluency. When you have a friend to practice with, you can provide each other the support and encouragement you need to stick with it.

During your learning sessions, try to end on a good note. This will keep you motivated for the next one. If you make a lot of good connections telepathically with your partner, stop before you get tired. If you are having trouble making any connections with the other person, don’t just keep trying. Work on it for maybe 15 minutes, and then leave it alone. This way you won’t have a bad memory of it for next time.

With dedication, regular practice with a partner and some guidance from others who have managed to use their own ability to communicate telepathically, you can develop your telepathic capacities. The rewards of being able to communicate with and understand others in an entirely new way are well worth the effort involved in learning to use this natural mental ability.

Remote viewing is a multifaceted subject; however, it is something everyone can learn how to do. When you are remote viewing, you can view an object or person anywhere in the world without having to actually be in the area. You are not limited by space and distance, while you are taking a remote view.

The details of remote viewing may seem a bit controversial, since no one really knows why or how it works, exactly. However, there are scientific studies that prove that remote viewing works.

It works so well in fact, that various governments the world over have used the practice for their own countries security objectives or spying purposes. However, history tells us that various government officials did become concerned about the art of remote viewing leveraged against them and then decided to terminate the government programs concerning the subject. The research documents were declassified and the idea of being able to remote view became popular with the public.

How Can One Remote View?

Using your potential senses and powers of extra sensory perception, you can practice remote viewing. It is, in a sense, much like practicing astral projection since you do not have to be in the actual place of what you are viewing, while you are viewing the scene.

You can view any area you wish, while you are practicing remote viewing. There is no limit to the areas you can view. You may want to view the past, the future or the present.

Actually, remote viewing is possible, no matter whom you are. Although, there are some who naturally have an inborn ability to remote view. Still for other individuals, it does take patience, time and effort to learn how to practice remote viewing. Being able to focus is essential while training your mind to reach a natural level of remote viewing, however with time and effort anyone can remote view.

When you are interested in experiencing your reality in a new alternative perspective, you find that learning to remote view is very beneficial to you. You can learn how to enhance your natural ability of operating at a very high level of vibrations with your thoughts when you learn and practice the art of taking a remote view.

Things You Can Do To Enhance Your Ability to Remote View

Sure, you can, since there are many techniques and methods available to learn remote viewing. However, first you have to learn how to make your mind be still and quiet. Then you will focus concentration sharply on any person, object or location that you desire that is not in the same area where you are or in an area where you cannot physically see it.

Keeping an open mind is one of the most important aspects of learning how to perfect the skills required for enhancing and developing your extra sensory perception. Learn the techniques of visualization and meditation that work best for you, whether you do them at home using any number of beneficial products or making a personal appointment with an expert in the field.

One excellent idea when you begin to learn and practice remote viewing is to keep a remote viewing journal. Doing so will allow you to keep up with your progression as your move towards your goals of being able to go anywhere you like and see those things you wish to see without actually being physically in the area or location.

Make a point of asking yourself to find out the answer to a particular question before going to sleep and then record in your journal the message you receive. Do your practices at a time when you will not be disturbed for the best results.

Here is a popular remote viewing exercise you can try out to develop your natural talent and skill. Face down, hold in your hand a photograph or drawing, where you cannot actually look at it. Now, simply ask yourself to see the photograph or drawing.

You should always have patient with yourself and your adventures of remote viewing. You will find out what works best for you by keeping a journal of your experiences. This will help your recognize your weaknesses and strengths. You can then work with them to enhance your natural skills and talents.

There is a wide assortment of resources available to you that can aid you in your progression and success of learning how to practice the art of remote view. It is one of the finer arts of the mind, body and soul similar to learning to develop other types of sensory skills.

There have been many different names and titles given to those with psychic powers over the years. Some of the more commonly known names included augur, fortune tellers, and prophets. Their psychic abilities have been termed things like second sight and clairvoyance. Yet, as names and titles change the actual roles of psychics in society and the nature of their powers does not seem to change.

People who are psychic believe that they can tap deep enough into the subconscious to be able to see things beyond what the natural eye sees. Some psychics claim to be able to speak with the dead (mediums). Others believe that tarot cards can be used to predict the future.

People who do not have these powers often go to psychic readings in order to learn something about their deeper mind and life in general. It is believed that psychics are able to see deep into our psyche to access information we do not even know exists in our own minds.

Many people find that they enjoy having a psychic reading; however, some people are very shaken by psychic powers. Sometimes people find out things about themselves that they really didn’t want to know.

The very first known psychic lived from 1766 to 1815. Dr. Franz Antoine Mesmer has come under some scrutiny in modern days, but in his lifetime he was known as a clairvoyant with the power to heal. Exactly how powerful he actually was will never be known.

The Hydesville psychic movement of the 1940s was a big phenomenon and the Fox Sisters were right at the center of the action. Known for their ability to draw out dead people and make them communicate by moving things or making weird sounds, Margaret, Kate, and Leah Fox would put on fascinating shows in their time.

At the time all of this was going on, most people refused to believe in this type of power. Even Houdini came out stating this type of activity was being faked. There were even many churches in on the action, holding services to ward off demons and communicating with the dead.

A lot of skepticism about psychic powers comes from the fact that every human has some type of precognitive ability. We commonly refer to it as instincts, but many people relate it to the power of prophecy. There have been many instances of people calling a loved one just as something really bad was happening because they sensed something was wrong. You may have had your own experiences with knowing things, such as who is on the phone before you say hello. Also, the term d©j vu has been big throughout history but is now related to events where someone may see something in a dream that really comes true.

It is also common today for some people to have dreams that actually become reality. This is commonly referred to as a d©j vu experience.

“Mantic Arts” is another term that refers to a type of historical psychic ability. This is the practice of reading signs and messages through stones, sticks, dice, tea leaves, shells, and other objects. In history, priests were noted to read messages through the patterns made by oil when poured into water. This practice was considered dangerous and was later banned with a penalty of persecution in the Christian world.

As we can see the history of psychic readings reaches back into the ancient world. In early Egypt psychics were part of the royal court, they were advisors to the Kings. Before any decisions were made, a psychic was consulted. Although this job was prestigious, it was often difficult. If a psychic were to have the wrong answer to a problem then he or she might face time in prison or even the death penalty.

Later, psychic readers were prosecuted along with fortunetellers, during the Salem Witch Trials. At this time, Christians came down hard on these women because they claimed that this was the work of the devil.

Of course, there is still a lot of doubt and skepticism surrounding this type of power. While it is no longer demonized, many people still do not believe psychic powers are real.

Yet, that doesn’t mean everyone believes that psychic powers are real. Many people are still very skeptical.

While it is true that some people set up shop as a psychic without any real powers, there are many really powerful psychics in our time. You have to take the fakes with any industry in our day.

There is also ever increasing scientific evidence to show that everyone has some degree of psychic ability which can be enhanced by the right training.

There is no denying the fact that the belief in past life, or reincarnation, is prevalent across the board in almost every religion, from Christianity to Hinduism to Buddhism to Kabalah. And the interest of humans in knowing as much as possible about their past lives is also quite widespread. But how many of us are interested in knowing about our past lives in order to make a positive change in our present lives?

Past Life Regression is appealing to many people because they like the idea of learning who they were and what happened in their past lives. They do not realize that they can use this knowledge to change their present and future lives for the better.

Even scientists agree that using Past Life Regression can be used effectively to make changes for the best in anyone’s life. You can learn from the trauma you suffered in your past life and the mistakes you made as well.

To learn about your past lives you will need to go to a hypnosis that specializes in Past Life Regression. You can also do it with self-hypnosis. There are other things that are useful as well. For example, regular affirmation sessions ensure it is acceptable to your subconscious mind to remember the events of your past lives.

It is necessary to accept certain things before you attempt to use Past Life Regression to explore your past lives.

Past life is a part of our present life. The memory of events from previous lives is hidden somewhere in the unconscious that just needs some external help to bring it to life.

Just the knowledge of your past life will not help you have a better life. You must know how to put this information to use in order to benefit from it in your daily life.

The past life experiences can be positively used in order to bring about a change in the present life. The mistakes made in the previous lives can be learnt and avoided in the present life.

Some people however, for various reasons find it impossible to believe in reincarnation. However Past Life Regression can be of immense help in either changing your life for good or helping in avoidance of commission of big mistakes in present life even if you think that all the events you remember are merely the results of a fertile imagination.

Whatever you believe, the experts still advise you to go through Past Life Regression because of two reasons.

*If what you learn from remembering your past life helps you to have a better life, this is because what you remembered was from a past life.

*Even if you think these events are pure figments of your imagination, the cathartic release you may get from experiencing such thoughts may free-up your mind of something that is blocking your health, success, and creativity.

What benefits should you expect from Past Life Regression?

*It helps in healing the past emotional traumas that are wrecking havoc in our present lives.

*It helps in bringing about clarity of thought and decision making in our personality.

*Learning from the mistakes committed in the past prevents the repetition of those mistakes in the present life. For instance, you may have acted cruelly against someone in your past life. This knowledge will help you avoid the same behavior in your present life.

*It helps in bringing to the fore the hidden talents and skills. There are certain talents you had in the past life that remain obscure in the unconscious mind of the present life. The acknowledgment and bringing out of such talents could change your life for good forever.

*Many questions you have about yourself will be answered. You will no longer be as confused about why you deal with life the way you do.

Try it and see what it can do for you, you have nothing to lose. It just may be the key you need to change your life in a way that you have always dreamed of.
